Hank

Hank is a great dog and companion, but I cannot help but make fun of his fear of water.  He sidesteps puddles in the street!  What dog does that?  Poor guy is terrified come bath time, too, but I will grant that is a somewhat traumatic experience for a dog.  I don’t know though, my parents’ dogs like baths, so maybe Hank just had a bad experience.

Anyway I was having a shower tonight, and I left the door open.  Hank wandered in and started crying because he was all alone (sobsobsob).  And then I saw he poked his head around the shower curtain - and I realized he was actually stepping up onto the tub!  I tried to encourage him to jump in, even though it meant I would have a Wet Dog on my hands, because I thought it was just downright funny.

Who knows - was Hank lonely enough to brave the frightful waters?  Or is he just overcoming his fears?  We shall see!
