-3
-3 is what I’d like the temperature to be, except it’s actually -30 or so with the windchill. But more importantly -3 is what I am from last week.  Great stuff!  I went for two really nice 30 minute walks yesterday, both in the frigid weather.  They were somehow refreshing, and I didn’t actually freeze.  I would probably do it again today.

The Odds Are Against Me
The winner of the weight loss challenge is going to be determined by % of weight lost.  That means that potentially, even if I lose 20 pounds, someone who loses less could still win.  For example, going from 295 to 275 is only a 6% loss.  Going from 120 to 110 is an 8% loss.  The person losing those 10 pounds would win. I’m now determined to lose 30 pounds, which would bring me to 10%. ...

Weight Loss Challenge...continued...
Well, my weekend was not great for losing weight.  I had at least 8 beers at a party, and didn’t do much exercising.  How could I be so silly?  Oh well, at least right now, I have a solid plan: - Lose 20 pounds in 10 weeks (that’s 2 pounds per week) - To do that, I will eat maximum 2,225 calories per day - Exercise when/where I can I went for a nice walk at lunch today, which is...

Independance Day is a Great Movie
I just watched this on the weekend, and man oh man it’s so great.  Especially President Pullman’s speech as they’re about to attack the ship before it gets to Area 51.  The version I watched also had 9 minutes of bonus footage!  Oh and also: I watched it in surround sound, and it was extremely awesome times TEN.

Burn After Reading
I think I’ve had this movie borrowed from my friend for several months now. Finally watched it. I’m 50/50 on it; Brad Pitt was great in it though. Steve (from my blackberry)

Weight Loss Challenge
We’re having a weight loss challenge at work; $20 for 10 weeks ($2/week), and the winner gets 2/3 of the pot.  Second place gets 1/3.  I’m starting this morning at 295.8 pounds.  Here’s hoping I make some real progress!  I would at least like to make a profit off of my weight loss.

Modern Family is p. great
I watched this new show Modern Family last night; it stars Ed O’Neil so already it gets a star in my book.  It was pretty funny.  Hard to pin down what shows it reminds me of because it reminds me of a few of them. I like that it’s a comedy about values.

Former Team != Toronto
I just read an article on sportsnet.ca about how a tweet about Carlos Delgado signing with his former club spurred rumours of a return to the Blue Jays. Since he has two former teams, it’s hard to say to which the tweet referred: Florida or Toronto? Likely not TO, the new GM (who is only 32) denied it. Steve (from my blackberry)

I am currently reading a book
It’s called The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.  I’m on story #2, The Red Headed League.  It’s pretty good so far!
